from 1986, the Konark Dance and Music festival has been affluent in placing
divergent cultures into proximity. It is a great soiree in the
backdrop of Konark Sun Temple which put on show the talent of dancers and
musicians. Close to 30 national and 10
international performances are
arrayed in this festival. Odissi, Kathak , Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi,
Manipuri are some of many classical dance forms that adorn the aesthetics of
the mighty Sun temple. Folk and tribal dance along with tribal instruments are
the pivotal acts of the show.
