Initially established  in 1986 as five different huts representing five tribe groups this museum has grown to a  large building and five different halls from 2001. The cultural life of indigenous people  of Odisha  is researched and documented in the form of artifacts.  The five different halls  put on display the things as follows 

Hall 1 :  Ornaments that were worn and  decorated by tribes ,made by themselves.

Hall 2: The personal belongings, art and wall paintings made by raw natural products, and some very ancient photographs.
