The
millennium city (because of a history of 1000 years ),Cuttack, the former
capital of odisha is a land surrounded by four rivers- Mahanadi, Kathajodi,
Kuakhaiand and Birupa.Being too old hasn’t deprived its development. Rising
along with the capital Bhubaneshwar, these two cities are now referred as “twin
city”. The evidence of history still exist in Cuttack , the BARABATI FORT,
which lead to the initialization of this city and hence forth the name KATAK-
literal meaning fort.
The Barabati
stadium, Netaji’s Birth Memorial, Odisha Maritime Museum, Maa Chandi temple,
Dhabaleswar Temple, Jama Masjid , Qadam-I-Rasool
Mosque, Daatan Sahib Gurdwara, Holy Rosary Church and Baptist Church are the integral
part of Cuttack tourism. Each festival is celebrated with a spirit of respect
and regard for each other and that’s why people take pride in
calling it- The city Of Brotherhood.
